  • Early to High Tang, late 7th century to the beggining of 8th century
No.21078

White porcelain cup with a straight wall flaring at the rim. The same shape is also found in low-fired white lead glaze and Sancai. Based on the materials excavated from the datable tomb, it may be attribued to late 7th century to the early 8th century. This type of cup is different from the cups that appeared in Xi’an, Shaanxi province and Guyuan, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region during the Sui dynasty in the early 7th century, which are in our foundation’s collection, and are characteristic of this period.
