Bowl with Carved Petal Design
- Celadon, Longquan ware, D 16.5cm
- Southern Song dynasty, 13th century
No.21015
Although there are many Kinuta-type celadon bowls with carved lotus petal design, this one is exceptional in its thinness. Holding up it to the sun, lotus petals can be seen through the outer wall because of its thinness.
